Oh you should definitely do it! Such a weird awesome place; out of this world. It is indeed an active volcano, but they monitor it closely, so there shouldn’t be any eruptions when you’re on there! Of course you never know 😉

I always go back and forth about adding this to my own New Zealand bucket list. On one hand, it’s SO unique and cool-looking! But on the other hand, if you got really unlucky and happened to be there during an eruption, you would probably die…. I’m still really tempted to go someday, though, and am happy to hear you really enjoyed it!
