But I still want to send these happy holidays-words out to you. I wish you all a merry everything and a happy always. I wish you a lovely time with your family, friends and loved ones! I also send a food coma and plenty of drinks and laughter your way.

Three years ago I spent my first Christmas away from home, in Australia. I missed my family, but also loved the happy and warm atmosphere at the beach.

I promised my family I would be home the following year.. Until one of my good friends was getting married a coupe of days before Christmas… in India. I was gone again. This time for an interesting and cold Christmas in Darjeeling, India.

Now, three years later, I am again surrounded by family. Not in Belgium, but in New Zealand, my new home. Again, no Belgium Christmas for me, but luckily my mom and her partner decided to bring the Belgium Christmas-vibes to New Zealand. And so far they’ve been pretty good, cruising around on motorbikes on the South Island!

I didn’t predict any of these last three years. Plans always change and that’s good! And who knows where you’ll be next Christmas?
