Hi John, what has happened in Kaikoura is tragic and we all wish the affected people and businesses well. I’ve been following it up from day 1 and try to help wherever possible. I agree that attention and thoughts should go more to the situation there than the best spots to photograph in New Zealand. I wrote this article a few weeks ago, but I still think it is important that the beauty of NZ gets shared, so people realise it is still beautiful and safe to travel. The last thing we want is tourists cancelling their plans.

I agree! Those are also beautiful spots. There are so many amazing places in New Zealand. I wish I could make a list of 50 best places, but then it would be a really long article 🙂

Giving the recent earthquakes in NZ my thoughts are more with the people than where to take the perfect photo, and I just wish everyone and their families well.
